Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Tampa .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Join the Tampa Photography Group on Facebook to share your photos after the session.

Really enjoy Juan Manuel?s classes. The list of photos and subjects he wants us to shoot provide clear guidelines, and his reviewing the shots during the class gives immediate feedback.

excellent class, he taught me things that I didn't know about my cameras. The feedback he gave after hand on shooting was very helpful, would love to attend more of his classes.

I thought this was an excellent class! Juan broke down the most important camera settings in a very digestible and easy to understand format and then reinforced that with some exercises for taking shots using different settings. Would definitely recommend the class and Juan as an instructor.

This is a very unique island - only accessible by ferry. Partially developed, but lots of more natural areas. An isolated beach at sunset. Used my Canon 50mm, ISO 100, f/7.1, 1/160. Balanced the camera on a beach chair.

There?s nothing like the chase for a great sunrise In Tampa. This morning the water was calm and the sky was a beautiful orange I wanted to make sure the Pier was also incorporated into the photo and although it was not the usual composition or angle I go for the shot actually turned out great.

I was looking for Whimbrels, or other migratory shore birds when I spotted this common tern flying around. At some point it dove and caught a fish. I instinctively aimed my camera and took a few pictures before flying away.

Steam was really enshrouding the main pool of Grand Prismatic, so I looked for other compelling ways to capture images. This image features some of the sinter terraces and cooler water thermophiles thriving around the central pool perimeter.
