Initially we will use the sun to light our model and then we'll place the sun behind the model and work at properly lighting our model AND capturing our stunning sunset without blowing out the sky..

For this session it is highly recommend that participants have at least a speed light they can place on their camera.. If you have portable strobes that is fine as well.

One of the most basic tenets of composition is the Rule of Thirds. Although most people are familiar with this technique it is often forgotten in the haste to take a photo. Make use of this technique can add more interest to your images by leading the viewer into/out of your image..

In this meetup we will practice using the Rule of Thirds in a setting full of photographic possibility.

I suggest bringing a few of your past images for a custom critique.. They can be on your phone/table but an actual print is best.

As the lady was crossing the street, I did not even realise that I lifted my camera to my eyes and took the shot. The lady in the photograph did not notice me and I believe this is mostly why I love this one enough to share it here. Pure candidness.Sometimes you choose to take a photograph. I made the man look so helpless because no man could defeat the Gods for example even when u go and read the books the Gods where more powerful and had special abilities. I made both of them shirtle

My buddy and I try to do a yearly camping trip to the southern tip of Florida, where the everglades dump into Florida Bay. This year, we brought three new campers with us and had a great time (although the fish were not cooperating).I've always wanted to try photos of the Milky Way and there are few places in Florida quite as dark as the everglades so brought my camera, tripod and various lenses (although for this shot was planning on using the 14mm lens). First off, I have to say that I am not a "Birder". But I love challenging my photographic skills and abilities. The American Kestrel is not a big bird, and it is fast. So even when you know its takeoff is imminent, it is still hard to get a nice clear photo of the bird. This particular image was shot with a Canon R6 camera, with the RF100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM lens at 1/5000 sec, f/7.1 and ISO 4000. I used the animal eye-tracking feature of this mirrorless full frame camera, and was very plea

This one took a bit of planning to catch the Milky Way in the place I wanted, the Weather, Moon, and Milky Way core all had to be right and as you might guess it took a few seasons for it to come together, every time it was a walk in the dark over the sand dunes from Pennard to get to the right spot on the cliff edge, I'm a little picky when it comes to star trails and although there are certain formulas for shutter speed to "visibly" limit star trails I'd rather have none, so I dragged my Star
